Professional, faith-based care that honors your story, respects your budget, and walks with you toward wholeness.
How We Began
For years, we served families through the Archdiocese of the Sacred Heart. We loved every moment of it. But we kept hearing the same heartbreaking refrains:
"I can't afford counseling." "My therapist doesn't understand my faith." "I don't know where to turn." "I'm embarrassed to ask for help."
We saw families suffering in silence. Marriages crumbling under pressure. Individuals battling depression alone. Ministry leaders burning out with nowhere to turn.
The gap was undeniable: families needed professional support that honored their faith AND fit their budget.
So we created Sacred Heart Family Center—a place where:
Faith and psychology work together, not against each other
Fees never stand between you and healing
Professional excellence meets compassionate care
No one is ever turned away
We exist to provide accessible, faith-integrated counseling and support services that bring healing, hope, and wholeness to individuals, couples, and families.
We believe that:
Everyone deserves quality care, regardless of income
Faith and mental health are not opposing forces
Healing is possible when you have the right support
Families are worth fighting for
God's design for humanity includes emotional, relational, and spiritual wholeness
Excellence
We provide professional, evidence-based care. Our counselors are licensed, trained, and committed to ongoing education. You deserve the best—we deliver it.
Faith Integration
We don't compartmentalize your faith. We see it as integral to your healing. We integrate biblical wisdom with psychological insight to provide holistic care.
Accessibility
Our sliding scale isn't a marketing gimmick—it's a commitment. We use the honor system and trust you to choose what you can afford. No one is turned away.
Compassion
We meet you where you are with zero judgment. Your story matters. Your pain is valid. Your healing is our priority.
Confidentiality
What you share stays with us (within legal and ethical limits). We create a safe space where you can be completely honest.
Results
We're not here to waste your time or money. We use proven methods, track progress, and adjust treatment to ensure you're moving toward your goals.
True Affordability
Other practices say "sliding scale"—we mean it.
Our fees start at $40 per session, with ministry rates as low as $20-30 for genuine hardship. We use the honor system—no proof of income required, no questions asked.
Compare that to:
National average: $100-200/session
Many "affordable" practices: $80-150/session
Hospital-based programs: $150-300/session
Faith That Isn't Forced
We integrate faith naturally—we never force it.
Your counselor won't hit you with Bible verses as band-aids. We use sound psychological practices informed by biblical wisdom. We pray with you if you want. We respect where you are in your faith journey.
You won't get:
Simplistic "just pray more" answers
Judgment about your struggles
Pressure to conform to our beliefs
You will get:
Professional, clinically sound care
Respect for your faith perspective
Integration of spiritual and emotional healing
3. Holistic Family Support
We're more than a counseling office.
Beyond therapy, we offer:
Life and ministry coaching
Insurance services for ministry families
Real estate support for those searching for homes
Group therapy and workshops
Educational resources and events
We see you as a whole person in a whole family with whole-life needs.
4. Real Expertise
Our counselors aren't just licensed—they're experienced.
[Include team credentials, years of experience, specializations]
We bring:
Professional licenses and certifications
Years of real-world counseling experience
Specialized training in trauma, marriage, family systems
Ongoing continuing education
Supervision and peer consultation
5. No Waitlist Games
We return calls within 24 hours. We get you scheduled quickly.
Many practices have 2-6 week waitlists. When you're in crisis, that's unacceptable. We prioritize getting you seen as quickly as possible.

The Sacred Heart Process
Step 1: Free Consultation We start with a no-pressure conversation. You tell us what's going on. We explain how we can help. You decide if we're the right fit. No obligation. No charge.
Step 2: Comprehensive Assessment In your first session, we dive deep into your history, current situation, and goals. We listen more than we talk. We understand before we advise.
Step 3: Personalized Treatment Plan We create a customized plan tailored to YOUR unique situation. No cookie-cutter approaches. Your plan addresses your specific needs, goals, and faith perspective.
Step 4: Regular Sessions We meet weekly, biweekly, or monthly—whatever works for you. Each session builds on the last. You'll leave with practical tools and actionable strategies.
Step 5: Progress Tracking We regularly assess your progress and adjust our approach as needed. Healing isn't linear—we adapt to your journey.
Step 6: Transition or Completion When you've reached your goals, we celebrate together and create a plan for maintaining progress. Our door remains open if you need future support.
We integrate multiple evidence-based approaches tailored to your needs:
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) Identifying and changing unhelpful thought patterns that drive emotions and behaviors.
Trauma-Focused Therapy Specialized approaches for processing traumatic experiences and reducing PTSD symptoms.
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) Helping couples understand attachment needs and create secure emotional bonds.
Solution-Focused Brief Therapy Goal-oriented approach that focuses on solutions rather than dwelling on problems.
Gottman Method Research-based couples therapy that strengthens friendship and manages conflict.
Biblical Counseling Integrating scriptural wisdom and spiritual practices with psychological insight.
Mindfulness & Prayer Using present-moment awareness and spiritual disciplines for emotional regulation.
We're committed to serving our community beyond our office walls:

We're affiliated with but separate from the Archdiocese. We operate as an independent for-profit entity that shares their mission and values.
Not at all. We welcome people of all Christian denominations and faith backgrounds. Our approach is broadly Christian, not denominationally specific.
Naturally and respectfully.
We use biblical wisdom to inform our understanding, incorporate prayer when appropriate, and honor spiritual practices.
But we never force faith or use Scripture as a band-aid.
We're happy to work with you while respecting your beliefs.
However, our approach is faith-based, so you may be more comfortable with a secular therapist if faith integration would bother you.
Yes. All our counselors hold professional licenses and credentials.
We provide proof upon request and display licenses in our office.
Great question!
We'll help you figure that out in your free consultation.
Generally, counseling addresses healing; coaching addresses growth.
